One of the most imporant responsiblities as a Landlord is to maintain updates for Gas Safety. It is a legal obligation and all tenants must be reassured that they are safe.
- Gas safety is usually conducted by agents under full management of a property. They will do yearly gas checks when the time is due.
- Gas safety certifies gas appliances, fittings and flues (pipe for conveying exhaust gases) are properly maintained
- Pipework, appliances and flues must be in good condition and checked annually depending on the engineers recommendation
All landlords must hold a copy of their gas safety record for two years and tenants must be provided with an annual gas safety check when maintances has been applied.
